f8, 7.25" T.T.H. Rapid Rectilinear, iris diaphragm to f45. Serial no. 14655 .

Shutter:
B&L Unicum shutter, speeds 1 - 1/100, B, T.

Construction:
Polished mahogany, brass fittings. Dovetail joints. Mauve leather bellows with diagonal corners.

Format:
6 ½" x 4 ¾" plates held in double dark-slides.

Focusing:
Bellows, scale marked to 5 feet. Double extension. Rack and pinion movement to inner frame with locking wheel to extend the focus forward, second pinion movement to inner frame to move front standard nearer to rear standard.

Attributes:
Reversing back.

Movements:
Rising front with rack and pinion, tilting front, tilt and swing to back.

With:
Lens cap.

This camera has a focusing scale with the name of the camera and initials of the company - S J L & Co - along with a patent number of 20768 (1894) which would seem to be unrelated to the camera. The company name changed in 1897 to Levi, Jones & Co., the lens dates to around 1904.

The bellows disengage from the front panel, Kinnear fashion, to close the camera.
