The Club was probably made for Adams by Louis Gandolfi based on their Imperial model, it has the distinctive front standard spring catches and swing back movement. It was introduced in 1890 and advertised in sizes from half-plate to 24" x 20". Brass binding was an optional extra. Normally the camera is fitted with a turntable, this example has a heavy brass plate carrying a tripod bush in place of the turntable. The square bellows and Spanish mahogany body give the camera an early appearance but the lacquer on the brass fittings points to a latter date; the camera was probably made around the same time as the Goerz lens (1910). The Club was advertised by Adams into the 1930s.

This camera is similar to the previous entry including the catches to hold the front standard in place. Both cameras have the appearance of being aimed at the de-luxe end of the market but are, in fact, more ornate than solidly constructed.
