Very similar cameras were sold by, amongst others, Hare, Meagher, Watson and Perken. These have a specification of single extension, rise and cross front ('Double action front') and side support. A swing back may be included and the bellows are of leather or cloth. The price was around £5 without lens.

This and a similar example have cloth bellows and the wood is not fully polished, this would have been to keep the price down. There are minor differences between this and another example, this one has a serial number stamped on the body and slide. It is quite possible that LSC bought in the camera perhaps in an un-finished state from different makers for assembly and finishing by themselves.
