The design of this camera is unusual, front focus tailboard designs are uncommon but this example looks to have been made for a specific requirement. The camera has to be racked out slightly in order for the inner frame to span the joint of the folding tailboard. The camera has a very wide lens panel and fixings for a septum for stereo photography. The serial number is stamped on the base, lens panel and rising front panel. There is also an ink number on the name plaque - 9976. This may indicate that several of these cameras were made for an organisation where there was a danger of the parts being mixed up.
