Shutter:

Two-blade pivoted return, spring powered, pneumatic regulation. Speeded 1 - 1/100, B, T. Self-capping.

Construction:

Leather covered metal body with leather bellows.

Format:

5 ½" x 3 ½" plates held in slides.

Focusing:

Bellows to 1 yard. Two focusing positions: slides (marked DS), film pack (marked FP).

Attributes:

Folding reflecting view-finder with spirit levels. Because of the body dimensions the frame to which the front standard locks has to be pulled out along the baseboard. Depth of field scale.

Movements:

Rise and cross front.

The f4.5 lens is the faster of the two fitted to the postcard, the other being f6.3. The Postcard did not prove as successful as others in the range, the price was £27.10.0. The film pack adapter is by a different maker with a wooden frame fitted to it by N&G. The focusing screen is on a wood frame which brings it into register with the FPA. The inside of the frame has bevelled edges, this together with the thickness of the frame, allows the full area (5 ¾" x 3 ½") of the film pack to be used.
