Bakelite body.

Format:
36, 24 x 36 mm exposures on 35 mm film held in cassettes.

Focusing:
Fixed.

Attributes:
Direct-vision (lens/lens) view-finder.
Film advance is by single sprocket wheel. Auto-stop on film advance. Not coupled to shutter. Automatic frame counter.

Identification:
Early model with single sprocket wheel, no tripod socket and fixed pressure plate.

This was the first Argus and appeared in 1936. Several modifications were made.
