Construction:
Vulcanite covered metal body.

Format:
36, 24 x 36 mm exposures on 35 mm film held in cassette.

Attributes:
Auto-stop on film-advance coupled to shutter. Film-advance tensions shutter. Exposure counter.

With:

  • Body cap.
  • Microscope attachment. Comprises: 10x Periplanatic eyepiece; Fixing collar for draw tube; Ibso three-blade shutter, speeds 1 - 1/25, with flash synchronisation; Focusing telescope and beam splitter; 1/3x tube to attach camera to shutter; Two cable releases. Red fitted box.

The 1 series was primarily intended for scientific or recording work. There are minor differences in the top plate engraving between examples of the 1c. Discontinued in 1952.

The microscope adapter is operated by two cable releases, one operates the shutter the other, which has a lock on the release, the finder prism (beam splitter). Parts were interchangeable with the microscope adapters made for plates. The finish and engraving style of the adapter changes over time. A flash synchronisation is fitted to some later models.
