The No. 1 F.P.K. was introduced in 1899. The first model had a square leather covered front standard with two recessed finders. In 1905 the Model C was introduced, this model had an 'open' front standard with two reflecting finders for portrait or landscape in one housing. A baseboard folded up to cover the lens when closed. In 1906 the twin finders were replaced by a single hinged version (Model D). In 1909 the lens panel was changed from wood to metal (Model E). Later cameras had black rather than red bellows.
