Construction:

Morocco leather covered body, leather bellows.

Format:

3 ¼" x 5 ½" exposures on 122 roll-film.

Focusing:

Bellows, scale to 2 metre. Two focusing positions for plates or roll-film. Double extension.

Attributes:

Brilliant view-finder, spirit level.
Film-advance indicated by red window, not coupled to shutter. Removable back panel to accept slides.

Rise and cross front.

Top of the range folding roll-film camera previously made by Wünsche and later by Zeiss-Ikon. From Zeiss the Nixe was available with f4.5 or f6.3 Tessars or f6.3 Double Protars in 3 ¼" x 4 ¼" and 3 ¼" x 5 ½" sizes. Over its long existence the camera changed considerably. Late models have a worm screw motion to the cross front and a wire frame finder.
