The Baky appeared around 1934, an advertisement from the British Journal of Photography in 1936 implies that early models did not have a body release and that the covers to the red windows had been improved. It was available in either black or brown and in either a smooth finish or grained resembling leather covering. The most common lens was an f2.9 Radionar others included f3.8 Cassar and an f2.9 Meyer, shutters, in UK advertised models, were either a Compur with a top speed of 1/250 or a Compur Rapid with a top speed of 1/400.

In the UK the camera was sold by the Sheffield Photo Co. as the Norfolk and by Westminster as the Victoria, it was later sold by the Camera Co. as the Vauxhall, possibly remaindered stock.
