The model V had a Synchro-Compur MXV shutter with delayed action. It also introduced the Light Value Scale (LVS) system on the Rolleicord.

LVS, also called EVS, was introduced on shutters by F. Deckel in the mid 1950s. When using LVS a single value is set on the shutter, the shutter speeds and apertures are then locked together i.e. when increasing the aperture a faster shutter speed is set. The value, derived from the light conditions and film speed, was directly provided on some exposure meters.
