Construction:
Metal body.

Format:
12, 6 x 6 cm exposures on 120 roll-film.

Focusing:
To 2 ⅔ feet.

Attributes:
Reflex viewing through second lens. Full-size ground glass focusing screen without condenser with cross hairs giving 25 squares. Focusing magnifier. Mirror in hood for eye-level operation.
Auto-stop on film advance after initially setting to 1 in red window, coupled to shutter.
Film advance tensions shutter. Automatic film counter. Red window automatically covered when back is closed. After the 12th exposure the film advance lever keeps winding.
Depth-of-field table.

Serial Number:
837854 .

With:

  • Lens hood in case.
  • Sport, pale yellow filter, bayonet mount. Serial no. 1024119.

This is a cheaper model than the Automat which was available at the same time. The major difference being the that the New Standard had to be set to 1 in the red window when loading, the Automat was automatic in this respect. The camera does not appear in the Amateur Photographer review published in June of 1939. The price was £26.10.0.
