Leather covered wood body.

Format:
3 ¼" x 4 ¼" plates held in double dark slides.

Focusing:
Rack and pinion, focusing scale.

Attributes:
Two reflecting viewfinders.

Movements:
Rising front.

With:

  • Focusing screen, One double dark slide.
  • Tripod screw.

Similar cameras to this model were sold by Archer & Sons and other retailers around 1900, this example has a Hanover badge on the shutter indicating it was sold by Evans.

The camera from Archer was called the Tourist and was illustrated in several photographic journals. In 1899, it was described as having been improved and fitted with 'Radiant' finders, possibly brilliant form rather than reflecting. It was available for six or three double dark slides.
