This is the old Devastation class battleship Dreadnought, she was completed in 1879 and scrapped in 1908.

Two cards. 6 cm diameter print on 5 ¼" x 3 ¼" card mounts. The rear of the card has a stylised Kodak name, gold bevelled edges. Captioned on the rear of the cards Eastgate looking East and Eastgate looking West. Addresses on the mount are shown as Rochester, Paris and Londres. From the style of Kodak name and the Oxford Street address these must date to between 1889 and 1892.

Watkins exhibited 'Norman Courtyard' at the RPS in 1911.
