f6, 7.6" Dallmeyer No. 4 Stigmatic Series II, iris diaphragm to f45. The Stigmatic could be divided giving lenses of about 15" (front) and 11.5" (back). Serial no. 61833 (1900).

Shutter:
B&L Unicum shutter, speeded 1 - 1/100, B, T.

Construction:
Leather covered mahogany body, red leather square cornered bellows.

Format:
4 ¾" x 6 ½" plates held in double dark-slides.

Focusing:
Bellows to 2' 8", scale to 5 feet. Double extension with additional extension by using the front panel struts.

Attributes:
Brilliant view-finder. Spirit level. Reversing back. Removable lens panel. Wide-angle flap.

Identification:
Original type struts. Square cornered bellows. Wooden extension slide with brass strips. Type 1 front standard lock. No infinity catch springs. Lens panel held by swivelling clips. Type 1 Wide-angle flap catch. Type 1 name plaque. Back held by rectangular plates. "Patent" on side strut.

Movements:
Rising front, tilting front.

Format:
3 ¼" x 4 ¼" plates held in double dark-slides.

Focusing:
Bellows to 19", scale to 5 feet. Double extension with additional extension by using the front panel struts.

Brilliant view-finder. Spirit level. Reversing back. Removable lens panel. Wide-angle flap.

  • Mackenzie-Wishart Daylight Slide Type A. Polished mahogany finish.

These are 2nd versions of the Original model, the first version had a metal bed for the focusing slide, this version had a wooden slide with brass plates. The Original model is easily distinguished by the curved struts supporting the front standard and the brass hinges holding the front standard in the vertical position.
