This camera was first produced by the Boston Camera Mfg. Co. in 1892. It continued in production after Boston was bought-out by Eastman in 1895. The Bulls-eye was the first camera to employ a viewing window to read film numbers printed on the backing paper. The early Boston models had 'D' shaped red windows to view the film numbers, later changed to circular. Minor variations of the Kodak model exist, in particular the finder changed from reflecting to brilliant.
